Language Workshop
This week we read What if Everybody Did That? We reviewed our rules for the classroom, hallway, bathroom, and cafeteria. We also discussed the importance of rules and what would happen if everybody chose to break them.
Math Workshop
This week we continued working in Module 2. We focused on subtracting nine from teen numbers. We drew pictures to represent the story. Then we crossed off nine from the group of ten. Students should be able to make a subtraction sentence to match the story.
Writing Workshop
We practiced writing complete sentences. We focused on using capital letters correctly, spacing, stretching out tricky words, and punctuation.
Word Study
Group A will be working on h, sh, and ch.

Group B will be working on p, l, and pl.

Group C will be working on short A, long A, and oddball words.
Next Week
Next week we will begin our author study on Kevin Henkes and we will start learning about adjectives. In math, we will continue learning about subtraction. In writing, we will begin narratives.
