News and Information Summer School Registration is open! Language Workshop We learned about the history of Clever this week. We took a walk on Thursday and learned about a civil war battle that took place about a mile south of our school.  Ask your student if they remember the name of the battle and how Clever got its name?	Math Workshop This week we continued Math Module 4- Place Value, Comparison, Addition and Subtraction to 40. We have been working on adding 2 two-digit numbers. We are learning different strategies to use (number bonds, adding to make a 10, adding 10, and drawing quick tens). Your student has math homework this weekend.
Writing Workshop We are continuing with informative writing. Students are writing about an American Symbol. We are working on expanding sentences to add more detail.	Next Week Next week we will be creating posters about our community and learning about long ago vs. today. We will continue with our informative writing.  In math, we will finish up module 4 and test on Thursday.
